This is a great app and I need to start to edit on my iphone or ipad and I would need to be able to share my diagram on both devices and the cloud or website.
It would be perfect if I can create, edit and share from web version or iPad or iPhone and have my lightning diagram stored in one place (cloud)
Today I can only do that on 1 device and this is not very convenient.
Thanks for your work and keep updating your apps we love them.
First of all, great job, guys ! The abilility to change the color of the background would be ffine. Black or white is a bit limited.
There's only black or white. Not even gray. If we could select different colors for the background, this will be helpful. I wrote a comment on the appstore. Great job for make this app available for Ipad1. Great team, keep creating !1 vote
Thanks for the feedback!
We have already planned to do such a thing. We just don’t know yet when this will happen.
The next update for the apps will bring another color for the backdrops, it won’t be gray though…
As for the iPad 1 support, we are happy to support iOS 5 for the time being :)
This site won't get any donations from me not until I can print my diagram.1 vote
I'm working in train everyday... An offline MacApp will be useful for nomad photographer as me. :-) (like iPad... But I'm working on MacBook)
Thank You so much for this beautiful work !
Please add V-Flats to the reflectors. Making them individually is difficult especially when having to position them1 vote
Drag, rotate and scale frequently stops working.
1. Create new diagram
2. Place a few objects, doesn't matter which ones
3. Drag, rotate and scale objects
4. Observe these three operations stop working after a few interactions whereas clicking the x button to remove objects still works.
5. Problem doesn't go away until Safari is restarted. Refreshing or browsing away then back to editor doesn't help.
A side from the tools you already have. There could be a virtual pen that let's you draw lines on your diagram. Aswel on the web app as on the iOS app.2 votes
That’s a feature we should add in the future
- saving other people diagrams to my account
- add a wall to the objects
- add a mirrorless to the objects ;)2 votes
Stay tuned :)
sometimes i take pictures and my camera is parallel to the ground, or the lights etc.2 votes
It is hard to browse favorite diagrams at this moment. Can You make dedicated page for favorite diagrams (full width) or more space to see them (pressing see more is frustrating) . Also bigger thumbnails would be great :)2 votes
Yes, we have to make something nicer indeed!
Thanks for your feedback :)
Hi, I may be missing it, but is there a way to copy a diagram in the ipad app?1 vote
How about adding V-Flats to the Reflectors group. It's a big pain making them out of white reflectors.1 vote
That is indeed a missing piece of equipment we should probably add. Thanks for pointing this out.
I would love to be able to create a list of equipment I have on hand and be able to name the elements to match that equipment, I.e. Apollo 50" soft box2 votes
The edit feature is very cool but instead of replacing my diagram It would be cool if we had the option to save it as a new diagram..
This way we can document a shoot as we move lights around the studio, add or remove extra lights with out having to start a new diagram for each set up1 vote
Thanks Scott for the suggestion!
This idea is in fact part of a bigger change we have in mind for Sylights :)
This tool would show relative heights for each light, panel or head from the camera's point of view. An outline would show something behind a panel that would otherwise block the view. These would be tied to the overhead lighting diagram. When one moves something here it moves in the camera POV as well2 votes
How about adding light panels? These are not reflectors rather shoot through diffusion panels. They would be brighter than the white rflctr.
Light panels are not reflectors. They are diffusion panels and would be brighter on the diagram than the silver or white reflector panel.1 vote
Will be awesome to be able to sync my iphone and ipad. Maybe using dropbox? or iCloud?1 vote
Everytime I try to view a light diagram it shows a small image that is skewed and not viewable at all. I have tried to use different computers and browsers.
I’ve pushed some modifications in an attempt to kill that bug, please confirm!
Huge scrims for movie sets and huge production still sets.
Also add a video camera like a RED or Panasonic AF100 and ARRI Alexa style camera.5 votes
- Don't see your idea?
